I like to think that we all have them.
Those nagging fears that will not just go away.
Those deep wounds that time doesn't heal and nobody else will ever be able to understand fully.
Those nights where no amount of "just breathe" can stop the tears from exploding from your eyes.
I like to think that we all have them.
It makes me feel a lot less alone. Or it at least reminds me that no matter how connected we are, there is some part of us that we just can't share. There are some things that we are forced to carry alone.
And that's the place where we learn just how much we need Jesus, and just how deeply God cares for us. Even when we are a snotty mess.
Because I don't know what you have to carry, but I know that on "those days" - days like today where there are just too many things breaking your heart, too many fears trying to steal your sanity and your peace, and too many tears that are refusing to stop streaming down your face - I am glad nothing can fix me but Jesus. I am glad that on the loneliest of days, I am not alone.
