I know, it's obvious. Why would anyone else celebrate America? (just between us, I can think of a few reasons)
Many of my facebook friends are blowing up my newsfeed with 30 days of thankfulness. Kudos to them; it is good to be thankful. But in the spirit of Thanksgiving, (or the lack thereof) I am going to instead bless you with:
30 Days of HOLY CRAP MY FRIENDS ARE TALENTED
I am always surprised when people I know are good at things. But today I stopped to think about it and I know a lot of people who are VERY good at the things they love. This is a foreign concept to me, since I'm just a little better than average at most things and very good at none. But I love it for them and I think they need some virual thumbs up from me.
I will not be posting this to facebook every day because if I did I would probably lose all the friends I hope to brag about by day 17. But I just want to promote some people who do some awesome things. And some awesome people who do things. Either way.
I have 3 days to blow through in this one day, so I'll start with some family affairs. 4 people, so I can get out of a post tomorrow if I want to. :)
1. The Larsons. Namely, Mikaela and Aaron. They each do different things but they each do them incredibly well. Check it out:

I rarely like a guy singing with a folksy guitar, but I found myself listening to his songs on repeat for quite some time. So, keep it up Mr. Larson. I'll buy your album.
And what does Mikaela do?

That. That's what Mikaela does. I don't get it or know what to call it, but I know that it's cool. It's cool, and she'd be my favorite type of person to work with because she's insanely hilarious. I'm going to make her make me some wedding invites/programs should I ever manage to get married. Otherwise maybe I'll hire her to make me an Official Old Maid party invitation...
But check out her shop.

2. Now here's the hard part about this month of talent - is all talent equal? Some would say yes, but I would say nope nope nope. And so without further ado, I will introduce the pair of sisters who I think have earned the right to be called the most talented people I know. I may change my mind later, but for now.....

If you aren't sitting there saying "Holy Crap, that girl is talented" then you have no taste and I invite you to show me anything that you have put more work into or can do better than this girl can play piano.
I am tickled that she taught me piano for two years, and embarrassed by how much I completely stink at playing.
I thought this was a sister act, you say?
Right. Sonya is also insanely talented. Watch away:

Stay tuned for more talent. And hey, my darling siblings, I think it's pathetic that none of us can make my list. What did we spend all of our time doing growing up anyways?
Maybe we're late bloomers...
